minutesPersimmons are a beautiful fruit that looks like a yellowish-orange tomato, and are available in late fall and winter. They are tangy and sweet, somewhere between a mango and peach. We paired them with the creamy texture of blue cheese and salty flavor of prosciutto and drizzled with spicy honey! YUM. A simple app to serve during the holidays.
Ingredients
2 persimmons, cut into bite size pieces
4-6 slices of prosciutto, cut into bite size pieces
4 ounces of blue cheese, cut into bite size pieces
2 Tbsp. of hot honey ( we used Mike’s Hot Honey)
Ground pepper
20 toothpicks
Directions
- Starting with bite size persimmons, place on serving platter. Add prosciutto and blue cheese on top of each piece of persimmon. Use a toothpick to keep it together.
- Drizzle with hot honey and pepper.
