Winter Citrus Salsa

There is nothing better than using fresh seasonal ingredients. We cannot get enough of the delicious citrus fruits that are available during the winter season. This recipe is very simple but has so much flavor and health benefits.

Ingredients

  • 1 grapefruit, peeled and cut into bite sized pieces

  • 1 cara cara orange, peeled and cut into bite sized pieces

  • 1 large blood orange, peeled and cut into bite sized pieces

  • 1 poblano pepper, cut into small pieces

  • 1/4 cup of red onion, finely diced

  • 2 Tbsp. of cilantro, finely diced

  • 1 Tbsp. of lime juice

  • 1 Tbsp. of hot honey ( we used Mike’s Hot Honey)

  • 1/2 tsp. kosher salt

  • 1 Tbsp. of chopped pistachios

Directions

  • Cut the top and bottom off the fruit. Run a large knife down the sides to remove the skin. Cut into slices and then into pieces.
  • Combine with pepper, onion, lime juice, hot honey and salt.
  • Top with chopped pistachios and serve with tortilla chips.
