Ingredients
4 bonelesss chicken breasts
1 cup of plain greek yogurt
1/3 cup of vegetable oil
1/4 cup of apple cider vinegar
2 Tbsp. of dijon mustard
3 Tbsp. of Worcestershire Sauce
2 Tbsp. of sugar
juice of 1/2 a lemon
1 Tbsp. of Kosher salt and fresh ground pepper
1 Tbsp. of smoked paprika
1 tsp. of cayenne pepper (optional)
Directions
- Combine all ingredients in a bowl. Whisk until blended well. Reserve about 1/2 cup for basting.
- Add chicken and marinade to gallon size baggie. Marinade chicken for at least 30 minutes (or up to 4 hours).
- Preheat grill to medium -high heat (350-400 degrees). Lightly grease grill grates with non-stick spray.
- Bring chicken to room temperature (about 30 minutes).
- Place chicken on the grill and cook for approximately 6-8 minutes per side (USDA recommended). Keep lid closed while cooking. Baste with marinade at the end for an additional 1-2 minutes per side. This prevents marinade from burning early and adds flavor at the end. Chicken should reach 165 degrees.
- Allow chicken to rest 5 minutes before slicing.
TipsÂ
- 1. We were inspired by Wegman’s Chicken Barbecue Marinade. So if you don’t have much time, this is a yummy alternative!
- 2. Double the recipe and you will have leftovers, which can be used for a sandwich or a salad!
