Ingredients
1 lb. of flank steak
1/4 cup of balsamic vinegar
2 tsp. of dark brown sugar
1 Tbsp. of Worcestershire sauce
2 cloves of minced garlic
Kosher salt and pepper
Peach salsa (see separate recipe)
Directions
- Generously sprinkle salt and pepper on both sides of the steak. Mix the remaining ingredients in a small bowl. Combine the steak and mixture into a gallon size baggie and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours or up to 24 hours.
- Preheat grill to medium-high temperature. (approx. 450 degrees)
- Bring steak to room temperature prior to cooking.
- Grill 5-6 minutes on each side. Flank steak should be cooked medium-rare since it is a very lean cut. The longer you cook it the tougher it will get.
- Place grilled steak onto a salted cutting board.* Allow it to rest for 5-7 minutes. This will allow the juices to redistribute throughout the meat.
Tips and Serving Suggestion
- 1. * Add Kosher salt all over your cutting board and place meat on top. This allows the salt to absorb into the cut meat not just the outside!
- 2 . If you have a favorite bottle of marinade…that can be used too!! Then the recipe is even easier!!
- 3. Serve with corn on the cob and/or summer fresh grilled vegetables. Sweet potato fries would be good with this too.
